I own a Braun trimmer series 3 and it has given up recently, but I'm about to fix that — Prime Day has knocked some solid discounts off the Philips (and Philips-badged Norelco) range this week, and I've been going back and forth on which one actually makes sense. Instead of just picking one blind, I worked through the four options below on price, what you actually get, and where each one starts to feel like overkill. This is the same comparison I ran before pulling the trigger myself.
Always check price history before buying: CamelCamelCamel AU shows the full price history of any Amazon AU product. A "47% off" badge means nothing if the RRP shown was never the actual selling price. Check the history before you treat any discount as real.
Philips Multigroom 5000 Series 13-in-1 — Best Budget Pick
Prime Day price: $69.00 (RRP $119.00, -42%)
This is the entry point into the Multigroom range and the discount here is one of the steepest in the lineup. Thirteen pieces covers the basics — face, hair, and body — without the extra attachments you get further up the range. For someone who just wants one trimmer to replace three separate gadgets and doesn't need the bells and whistles, this is the one to watch.

Norelco Philips Multigroom 7000 Series (MG7910/49) 19-in-1 — Stainless Steel Precision
Prime Day price: $93.58 (RRP $122.07, -23%)
The US-badged Norelco version of the 7000 Series, shipped from and sold by Amazon US, comes with 19 pieces and stainless steel precision components. The discount is smaller than the AU-badged 7000 Series below, but if the local stock runs out this is worth a look — just factor in that it's shipped internationally rather than from a local Amazon AU warehouse, which can affect delivery time.

Philips Multigroom 7000 Series 16-in-1 — The Volume Seller
Prime Day price: $89.00 (RRP $169.00, -47%)
This is the biggest percentage discount of the four and it shows in the sales numbers — over 50 bought in the past month at the time of writing. Sixteen pieces, same-day Prime delivery in most areas, and it sits in a sensible middle ground between the budget 5000 Series and the premium 9000 Series. For most people, this is probably the pick of the bunch on value alone.

Philips Multigroom 9000 Series (MG9558/30) 20-in-1 + Bonus OneBlade — The Premium Option
Prime Day price: $139.00 (RRP $269.00, -48%)
The top of the range, and the numbers back it up — 4.6 stars from 173 reviews and over 100 bought in the past month. Twenty pieces plus a bonus OneBlade trimmer, 27 length settings from 0.2mm to 20mm, stainless steel components, and it comes with a proper travel pouch. The step-up model, the MG9532/15 16-in-1, is priced at $199.00 with no discount showing — so the 9558/30 is comfortably the better buy right now at nearly half the price for more attachments.

So Which One Am I Buying?
Working through it, here's where I've landed:
📅 Just want the basics covered cheaply: 5000 Series 13-in-1 at $69.00 📅 Best all-round value: 7000 Series 16-in-1 at $89.00 — the volume seller for a reason, and my pick if I wanted to keep this simple
📅 Want the works, including a OneBlade: 9000 Series 20-in-1 at $139.00 — nearly half the price of the step-up MG9532/15 for more attachments, which is hard to argue with
📅 I ll buy the 7000 Series: the Norelco-badged US import at $93.58 as it has 5hrs of run time and 19 attachments. I'll update this post once it's arrived with how it actually performs.
Prime Day pricing typically doesn't last much beyond the event window, so if one of these fits what you need, it's worth acting while the discount is live rather than waiting.
