Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar at Prime Day — 37% Off and I Already Own the System

Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar

By Abi — Melbourne tech reviewer and Bose home theatre owner | July 2026

I own the Bose Soundbar 700, Bass Module 700, and Surround Speakers 700. Going on seven years in my Melbourne home. The Bass Module needed a warranty repair a couple of years in — Bose Australia handled it, even if the wait was real. The system still runs daily and sounds exactly as good as the day I set it up.

So when I saw the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar at 37% off on Prime Day this morning I paid attention. This is the generation above what I own — Dolby Atmos, improved beam steering, slimmer profile — and the price right now is the kind of number that makes you seriously consider an upgrade.

Always check price history before buying: CamelCamelCamel AU shows the full price history of any Amazon AU product. A percentage-off badge means nothing if the RRP shown was never the actual selling price. Check the history before treating any discount as real. I checked this one — the Smart Ultra Soundbar discount appears genuine.

Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar — AU$944 (was AU$1,499) — 37% off

Dolby Atmos. Alexa built in. Pairs wirelessly with the Bose Bass Module 700 and Surround Speakers 700 as a full system. Slimmer than the Soundbar 700. Free delivery tomorrow 8 July. In stock at time of writing.

AU$555 off is meaningful on a product that rarely discounts significantly. If you have been sitting on a Bose soundbar purchase and waiting for the right moment, this is the week.

Bose Bass Module 700 White — AU$944 (was AU$1,199) — 21% off

The same Bass Module 700 I own — just in White. Wireless subwoofer that pairs with the Smart Ultra Soundbar and the older Soundbar 700. The White colourway is less common on discount and worth noting if you have a lighter living room setup.

So Should You Buy?

Working through it, here is where I have landed:

📅 Starting a Bose home theatre from scratch: Smart Ultra Soundbar at AU$944 is the move — best price I have seen on this model and the 37% discount is the standout Bose deal this Prime Week.

📅 Already own a Soundbar 700 like me: The upgrade is tempting but probably not essential unless you specifically want Dolby Atmos. The 700 still holds up well in 2026.

📅 Want the full system: The Smart Ultra Soundbar plus Bass Module 700 White both discounted in the same week is an unusual combination. Building a two-piece system this week makes sense if you have been planning it anyway.

For the full honest picture of what seven years with the Bose home theatre system actually looks like — the good, the warranty repair, and whether I would buy it again:
